This limited-edition knit blanket is a rendition of the cover of issue no. 56 (Spring 1973), featuring Meditation on the Theorem of Pythagoras by Mel Bochner (1940–2025). A conceptual artist and critic, Bochner is known for his close engagement with language and numbers, chiefly in paintings. Meditation, in its elegant elaboration of a mathematical system, exemplifies the wit and curiosity of his practice.
